The Women’s Investment Fund is Nigeria’s first gender specific mutual fund designed to increase the participation of women in financial investments. The fund’s primary objectives are to promote an investment culture, enhance financial security and provide financial independence for women.

To achieve this, the Fund intends to enhance the long-term capital appreciation of its assets by investing in a portfolio of high quality equity securities quoted on the Nigerian Stock Exchange ("NSE") and in other securities approved by the Securities & Exchange Commission ("SEC"). Most importantly, 30% of the Fund will be invested in businesses where women own 10% or more of the equity.
